“This was pretty much a game to forget. I gave up 1 handicap and it came up Virus, taking out my ST4 Zombie and a Blodging Ghoul. With a Mummy already missing it wasn't looking good. I got lucky halfway through the first half when my opponent got Skull, rerolled Skull on a 1d Block. This opened up a flank where I was able to make a break with couple of Ghouls for a T7 score.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to stop a 2 turn score return from the slow moving Dwarves, despite getting Perfect Defense. I had a 2d Block on one of only 2 players in scoring range but got a Both Down and Skull result, taking out my Blockless Ghoul. The Dwarves made the pass and ran it in for the score. 1-1 at half time and I didn't rate myself a chance for the second half. Not only was I down 10 player to 11, I had also lost one of my Wights to a SI (Niggle) from a Block and my only Mummy, BH on a foul.

In the end I couldn't hold back the Dwarves. My only chances in the second half were a 1d Block on the ballcarrier that came up Skull and a missed opportunity to get another 1d Block when a 4+ Dodge (with reroll) failed. The Dwarves eventually were able to waltz in for a T16 TD.

Despite not having much luck (the luck meter is incorrect due to a disconnection just after half-time), credit must still go to my opponent. He played well, making sure most of my players were tied up and unable to go after the ball carrier. It was a well deserved win.
