“Game 1 in my new E.L.F. cycle team!

Their second block of the game sees a troll KILL a lineman! They push up one side and we foolishly try and crowd surf a sidestepping gobbo .. ahem didn't notice that one! The gobbos throw a lineman into the stands, showing us how it's done, then run in their touchdown.

We push up one side with the ball looking to score on the last turn but some amazing defense from the gobbos sees a strip ball blitz, then a series of dodges away. It's our last turn and we blitz him down but he manages to drop the ball into the crowd of goblins behind his endzone who helpfully toss the ball right far away from us. We still attempt a thrown touchdown that fails when our star blitzer somehow drops the easy catch - was he being pelted with pies from those same fans?

OK so it's 1-0 down and we're receiving for the 2nd half. The troll who was gang-fouled to the KO box fails to wake up, excellent. The goblins are still making excellent defenders however, and we cannot seem to break armor on the little tykes! We eventually score in our 4th turn but it still takes some doing. Only a few turns to break through and change the game, and the 2nd troll's woken compared to our 2 elves relaxing in our KO box leaving just 8 elves vs 9 opponents..

One troll tries a blitzing multi-block vs my blitzer and a lineman- and takes a fractured arm with no regen!! We blitz through looking for the ball, but instead 3 goblins block our other blitzer- KILLing him!! OUCH! The goblins sieze the ball and rush up one side but our blitzer twice dodges away from a DT to knock him down by the endzone where he grabs the ball hoping to run down the clock. The canny goblins dodge in from all sides and blitz him down- but like the cunning goblin at the end of the first half he drops the ball into the crowd who throw it out of reach of the little goblins' legs.

The game ends a tie but our team is left far worse than it started, still without an apo and less a blitzer!
