“Scheduled SMACK (TR 125), round 1 vs Manz62's dwarves

We start off very strongly, a mummy BHing a longbeard on the LOS and our DP zombie stomping another one into the SI box on our first turn. We push up with our ghouls but they soon get surrounded by dodging dwarves so we try and swap to the other side but our wight fails to catch the handoff! This lets the dwarves pile in and surround the ball leading to a massive punchup near their endzone. We manage to recover but the dwarves defend well and in the end we are fighting to score though we do it on turn 7 to take the lead.

The dwarves go for a 2-turn touchdown with their +MA runner but with no rerolls when he fails to catch the handoff they won't have time to do it!

Our DP fails to wake up from the KO box for the 2nd half and the dwarves will receive with 10 vs our 11 as the weather turns into pouring rain. The dwarves immediately even out the numbers with a zombie seriously injured on the LOS. They then grab the ball in the rain and run right through the middle with their runner making a nice blitz to get mostly clear out the back. We manage a long sprint with one wight GFI'ing twice and then rerolling 2d block dice to knock down the runner - and he's been badly hurt! Juspen Timherleik coolly catches the ball as it bounces back up to him and grins for the crowd! What a move!!

With the dwarven attack defused and the ball secured despite the rain we are able to push right back up the field and score on our final turn to win 2-0!
