“Elite SMACK final!
Wow. Never have I had so much trouble winning when being so superior. Da Tribe outclassed the Mighty Orcs in every way. But somehow they managed to tie the match and make it a coin-toss. Ah well, we won the toss and our second elite SMACK trophy, so all is well.
The match had four drives. Rostern started receiving and scored 1-0 in T8 (after being beaten up all half, on a play involving a long pass and snakes GFI on my part). His AG4 Thrower was instrumental in this, and was used to very good effect. I scored 1-1 on T4 of my 2nd half drive, again beating up the Mighty Orcs easily. On his drive, Rostern then sent a lone receiver to catch another long pass from the AG4 Thrower, but this one was brought down by a lightning bolt from our wizard. Da Tribe stole the ball and had a chance to finish the match then, but failed a hand-off.
So 1-1 at full time and on to OT, where da Tribe got to receive in what was to be the last drive of the match. Again we easily beat up the remaining opponents, and moved to the TD line to stall out the win. We scored in T8, leaving Rostern only a TTM attempt to tie the match... Bad Kick! Touchback! Really Stupid Roll passed! Always Hungry roll passed! Goblin lands! Dodge, dodge, dodge, TD! Sigh. If they had gotten the coin toss as well I would have had to insert my keyboard forcefully into my liver.
So I'm happy they didn't. :-/
