“A tense game, but what did you really expect with an all deady contest?

Trapdoor had better mummies, two blodgers and one tackler, but Mueffelnde Maden had two tacklers, three blodgers and better zombies(!). I thought it was too close to call and could well be won by the team that received first and so it proved.

Winning the toss I chose to receive. Not something I always do with undead, but against other bash I like to get them hits in first! Junior84 started with a deep defence, which suited me as those pesky mummies wouldn't be blitzing too easily.

The ball secured safely in Huachipato's hands, I began the drive up the pitch. The first block KOd a zombie and in all fairness it was pretty much Trapdoor's half.

A risky 1d blitz on my ball carrier by a tackle wight resulted in a both down/reroll skull and Trapdoor were away. Huachipato managed to get clear and I was able to foul a tackle wight for no success. I was able to isolate Junior84's dirty player, mummies and one tackle wight though and KOd one ghoul and a wight, as well as ripping a zombie (who regen'd) before scoring in turn 8.

My KO came back at the half, and all but a skill-less zombie returned for Junior84.

At the kick off my opponent set off bashing his way up the pitch, removing a zombie to a KO early on. It wasn't all one-way traffic though as I managed to cause three casualties during the second half - all of which regen'd apart from ghoul Speichel who threw a 1d block after realising the game was up.

Junior84 kept his ball carrier deep in an attempt to find a hole through Trapdoor's lines and I was able to pick off potential scorers one by one with my tackler and 2 wights. One of Mueffelnde Maden's wights did get a casualty on a zombie, but fortunately he made the 4+.

In the end Junior84 had the ball carrying ghoul and a wight deep in my endzone as I moved two ghouls to cover. I was able to blitz with a mummy and get 2gfi's to put them in tackle zones and force the ghoul to dodge clear and he duly failed two 3+s.

Still it wasn't over though as I moved my players around the ball and attempted to pick it up to seal the win but fumbled it. It wasn't to be though as the Mueffelnde Maden ghoul failed the pick up in a tackle zone and I was able to chuck a few last minute blocks to try and get casualties.

Good game Junior84, a nice close one. Earned enough cash for the count, and will be facing the winner of an undead vs lizardmen match in the second round of Fumbbl Tour 3.3.”
