“Great performance of the Road Ladies against a vampire team.

Anticipating a match against such darkly beautiful opponents, blitzer Samantha Spearhead (always a fan of Christopher Lee in the "Dracula" hammer films) spent all the previous night at the stadium cafè, hoping to get an autograph from one of the undeads. Alas, the vampires did not show up (it turned out that they were "on hunt" into the streets). Witnesses report that Samantha drank something like 45 cup of coffee that night.

It comes without saying that the following night she was rather... well let's call it "buzzing".

That condition turned out to be an asset, since it seemed there was no way to restrain the now-hyperkinetic lady. After a first TD from the bloodsuckers and despite the opponent's team higher luck with blocks (the dodging ability of the ladies seemed in fact useless) the ladies managed to equalize near the end of the first half.

Then something strange happened. It seemed that for some reason the opposing coach did spend the last night drinking coffee like the Ladies' blitzer (maybe he was looking for some autograph from someone too?). Fact is, if a "buzzing" blitzer can be a good thing, a "buzzing" coach definitely is not.

Actually, he started yelling, insulting and generally bitching around in the dugout while disinteresting altogether of the match. So, despite again a better luck and a strong lineup, the vampires didn't manage to hold their own against the Ladies.

The match ended with a 3-1 win for the girls. The Vampire team subsequently disbanded (according to rumors, the undead left en masse out of disgust for their coach's behaviour).

The following night, Samantha Spearhead received an envelope containing the collective autographs of the vampires of the team. They are still among her most prized possessions.”
