#1 Dremus – Dead (RIP)
#3 Torin – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#3 Torin – Smashed Knee (NI)
#10 Lothga – Smashed Hip (-MA)
Dear Vanyar,

We bring great tidings, both as a Freeworlder and as a citizen of Vanyar!

In our fight against the evil Maggoty Bread we were victorious, delivering to them a crushing defeat before they could crush our troops, and usurping the Ring of Air from Mordor’s hands!

The Orcs had hired a Mercenary by the name of Varag, and so we counted by hiring the services of Gandalf. We were still thin on the ground, and an argument between Torin and Karim did not help matters.

The Orcs began, hitting our front line and making use of their elven like thrower. We pressured them by pouring vast numbers around their flanks, forcing them to commit quickly, and after taking down one of their men, Elvor followed up with an assisted assassination attempt only to reap the fruits of exile from the game.

The Orcs hit what they could again, killing young Dremus, to which the apothecary had no cure… things were looking blak, but at least the Orcs had to advance quicker than hoped, making a completion.

Protected poorly, Torin made his move, blitzing the ball carrier with some assistance and stripping the ball from his hands. The wheels were in motion and now it was time for Idgar, the hero of the game, to make his presence felt. He dodged out of an Orc cage, scooped up the ball from under their green noses, leapt out and passed to a waiting Lorris.

Our Lion Warriors then valiantly held up the play for more valuable time.

1 – 0

The Orcs hadn’t long to equalise, but our numbers were fewer now, and Torin had been knocked out in retribution for his part in the upset.

The Orcs marched ahead in double time, caging their ball carrier nearby our endzone. Gandalf was called in… and out of five Orcs he managed only to topple one, but chagrin became a wry grin when the smoke cleared and it was their ball handler that had fallen. Following a helpful blitz Idgar wasted no time and dove in, plucking up the ball and tossing it to Eowin to take the game to:

2 – 0

With a great lead already in possession, and despite numbering only a handful of men, we were sure hat with Idgar acting as ball handler we would widen our lead! Our men invaded their territory, shielding Lorris who waited for the pass. The Orcs could do little to stop Idgar passing to him to complete a third score.

3 – 0

The humiliated Orcs, with numerical superiority, seethed, unleashing their ferocity upon us. Newly revived Torin was quickly dispatched, and one of our Lion Warriors also received a broken leg… Noting the game was long since won, we elected to allow the Orcs to have their consolation and protect the few troops that remained.

3 – 1

Glory! Glory! Glory!
After a disappointing 2nd Campaign, our 3rd has already produced a Ring of Air, and Mordor finds themselves without a single Ring of Eregion!

The cost was great, as Torin was sent home earlier than anticipated, but it was worth it!

Regards,
Tarius

The plan was to not hold back and to throw everything at Vampy whilst I had the man power, and it worked a charm. AG5 leap Idgar was instrumental, and the help from the Wizard also did wonders.

Vampy’s Black Orcs were useless, and it was largely left to his Tackle + MB Blitzer to do the damage. Had the Apo succeeded, it wouldn’t have been too harsh a victory: -MA on a –AV DP, and another niggle on a niggler… both destined to retire.

With poor cash though, and a depleted team it’s unlikely we’ll see much success this campaign.

GG Vampy!
