This game is up there with one of my most favourite games i have played here on FUMBBL!

TexMurphy is a really cool coach who despite having some great players, my numerous guards made penetrating the cages i setup really difficult but it didn't stop him trying... and nearly suceeding!

First half was a near perfect cage that i stalled the entire turn to grind up the field for a last turn td. This wasn't my plan at first but after failing to break armour turn after turn i just couldn't bear scoring without at least one elf crying in pain... didn't happen that half tho and i scored a fairly easy td simply due to the cage not failing at all.

Second half was awesome. A quick score to the woodies after a failed blitz on his catcher (2 dice in my favour with block, tackle and mighty blow came up on a reroll as double skulls!) and it was even after 2 turns.

I setup the cage but only had half the team there this time. It took me 4 turns to get all the players into position all the while Tex is bashing away at the corners and nearly breaking the cage more than once. I have never seen so many single dice rolls in favour of one coach in my life!! I lost count at 9 of them by turn 4 but he did at least another 5 by the end... all knockdowns and a couple of pushbacks... not a single skull! Very nice!

Eventually tho the numbers of the orcs and the guard skill pushed the ball carrier closer to the line but a stupid choice to pushback a player into the wrong square meant i needed to dodge to score the winning td... i held my breath and bang! Touchdown!

Fantastic tactic game played by both coaches and had i not managed to take out his wardancers for most of the game i think Tex may have made me pay for stalling.

Great fun game Tex. Was great fun.

The Lean, Mean and Green is a very hard team to play. Hard mentaly as they force you to think, which is alot of fun.

The low number of MB and lack of DP makes it an ideal team to play Speed vs Basher.

Id say this one was won due to two things. Guard skill on Orc side and lack of Kick skill on Woodie side. On both their offensive drives the Orcs managed to get into the cage right of the kickoff. A cage with 6 ST4 and 5 guards is a pita to break.

Another deciding thing for this game was my choise of skill on my WD when he leveled. I went for Tackle over Strip Ball. I had been thinking about the Strip Ball alot but I decided for the tackle.

Around turn 12-13 in this game that same WD had a 2db against that he rolled a double skull on the ball carrier. With Strip Ball skill it would have been totally different outcome.

Would have been fun if the last defensive stand on turn 16 would have stopped the Orcs for a tie.

But still a very fun and tactical game.

To anyone reading this report. If you like tactical games against a player who is a good sport and fun chat then play Sarganius!!
