“An incredibly hard fought game that went right down to the last turn. The Drakenhöff crew got the ref in the first half but had obviously forgotten to sharpen their boots as they only got one elf off the pitch permanently despite five turns of fouling with their two DPs!

1-1 at the start of the second and things were ultimately decided by the bounce of the football. The Dental School sacked the ball-carrier on the Skinny Bowlers' drive near the Vamps' endzone, but the ball bounced straight into the hands of another elf, which he caught despite being in two TZs, and then dodged away to score. With only three turns to equalize, things looked desperate for the School, and their failure to get more elves off the pitch in the first half probably cost them the match. The three Vamps dodged through the middle of the elven defence, but had to leave the ball carrier exposed to be within range of the endzone on turn eight. Dr Von Ortho Dontiste was hit and he dropped the ball, which again bounced straight into the hands of a damned elf. The only hope for the Dental School was to hit the pointy ears and pray the ball popped loose for the silky skills of Nurse Drillit to recover, but when Dougie Drakenöff blitzed the elf the ball AGAIN bounced straight into the hands of another of the Skinny Bowlers! But it was no more than Coach Grizzle deserved in the end as he played the tighter game over the course of the match.

Disaster for Drakenhöff Dental School as more of their fans walked away after this loss, leaving them at an all-time low in terms of support. Things are getting tough as the School struggle to hold their own amongst the stronger FUMBBL teams. Money is beginning to get scarce, and the two stars of the team, Nurse Drillit and Dr Von Ortho Dontiste, are reaching the stage of their careers where they may start to feel the effects of age. Can they make it to Coach Smyth's goal of 50 games? One thing is for sure, it's gonna' be one messy, messy journey whatever the case...”
