“It was a cold day with heavy snowfall and wind. The Stabbers hailing from Stekene, and always up for a Challenge, had travelled north to face another team that challenged them to a game of Blood Bowl. Here the icy winds raced across the pitch, going trough armour, bone and marrow. And a thick layer of snow has left a desolate barren white plane where once lie the playing field. These are no ideal conditions for the Stabbers, they are used to a warmer and wetter climate. The Coach knew it wasn't gonna be an eazy match, and that victory would not come easily. Their opponents, masters of these barren tundras, very appropriatly named the "Artic Schields", are a team of Dwarves, who have adapted to this unforgiving landscape, trading their ancestral caves for a type of small, iglo-type tents which they partially bury under the snow for isolation. It can be seen in their eyes, their facial skin is raw leatherlike from the years of northern exposure. For these men a blizzard is perfect Blood Bowl weather. These men have vowed to defile this virginal white plane with the blood of their adversary's. And so they have.

The Humans won the toss and elected to receive.
For the first 2 turns it was mostly bashing and brawling on the line of scrimmage, (the line of skirmish) until in turn 3 the stabbers started their drive over the left side of the pitch. Everything when pretty okay till turn 4. The Stekene thrower moves to the middle of the pitch but trips trying to gfi to get out of harms way and in scoring position for the next turn. But the snow and the occasional icespot were to much for the Thrower to handle and he tripped, lost ball and turn. Luckily before the dwarves got their rush going the human defence was back at the midline, where the grudgefest continued till half time and resulting in the first casualty of the day, as the human Lineman Tim Goforit got bashed by Dwarf Longbeard Lorgos assisted by his teammate Krugor. This came as a heavy blow for the humans just before halftime, which seriously undermined the teams confidence in victory.

When the second half had to be played, more bad news, Beer Wust of the stabbers was showing singns of undercooling and had to remain in the reservesbox. Was an unlucky match for me, but the blizzard in which we played and the name of my adversary's just screamed to be fluffed. So now you know.”
