#14 Dribble Dooble – Broken Neck (-AG)
A match between two teams confused about their own identities:
Orcs-who-think-they're-elves vs. Elves!-who-think-they're-orcs.
Unfortunately, the latter forgot to wear any armor, as they played man-to-man defense until going splat.

The first half saw the Panic rush out to a lead after a brutal 7-turn drive.
Thinking there no time left in the half for an Elves! retaliation, the Black Orcs and Blitzers lined up around the BBQ in the backfield -- imagine Cherry Boy's surprise as he was clubbed on the back of the skull by a sly Zippy Jnr., just as he'd bit into a filet of roast fling.
Let that be a lesson to the millions of young, impressionable, aspiring Blood Bowlers watching at home:
Kids, bribing the official time keeper is the best option for sneaking in a late half equalizer.

Making matters worse for the Panic, the Elves! received in the second half.
Again, a young catcher made a charge forward, eager to score quickly.
So eager, in fact, that he left his teammates to trail...and was subsequently swarmed, grabbed, mashed, tackled, humped, and gnawed by every living orc in all the reaches of the Old World.
The scoreboard tells the outcome.

Thanks, nestyr, for a fun match with good chat, and for staying up late to play.

#1 I'm Da Elf – Serious Concussion (-AV)
#8 Jingo – Smashed Knee (NI)
#12 The Min – Dead (RIP)
I lack the verbose skills of my worthy opponent.

Suffice to say, a was expecting a hard match, as an Orc/Elf macthup is usually a very painful affair for the Elves, and I was not disappointed.

My cunning plan of scoring quick touchdowns throughout to prevent team pummelling was foiled by two critical mistakes on my behalf during the game, and my constant inability to roll 4+ with re-rolls, to dodge out of tackle zones to score.

Despite the result, I believe fun was had by all, with the Elves only death being inflicted by the crowd, so it could have been much worse than it was.

I'm looking forward to hopefully playing sensei again sometime in the near future, though hopefully not quite so late next time!
