The first half was a bit of a disaster for me, as I lost almost all players and both trees became rooted down. I managed to prevent a touchdown only with luck (and the sheer grit of the remaining few flings, kudos to the little guys).

Most of the KO'd flings woke up at halftime, but still it was 2 trees and 7 flings vs 10 elves... on Frankiej's drive. With my DT players off the field I was preparing myself for defeat, but with some luck on a few important rolls I managed to knock free the ball and run off with it while the rest of the flings threw themselves at the elves in an attempt to slow them down. With the trees pulling their weight and knocking out a few players, I managed to get in a good position to protect my ballcarrier.

Still, it all would have failed if the elves had made a few lucky dodges, but those dodges all seemed to fail at the most critical moments, so my fling managed to march the ball across the goal line unchallenged for a 1-0 victory.

I had a lot of fun, and the overall mood of the game was very friendly and amusing, which is always a good thing.”
