“Ka-POW!

After almost 6 months in Fumbbl's [R] division coach Smyth wanted to get his Dorf picker award, so, feeling in confident mood with his Slash'it boys, decided to take on Maryjuano's guarded up beardys.

Things started off well as one of the Scramblers' fans threw a rock and killed a longbeard, but coach juano sent on the apo, safe in the knowledge that the rats wouldn't have much else to offer in the way of pain. How right she was - things were about to get very grim indeed...

First, the Scramblers DP got sent off on the first foul of the game, whilst only suceeding in KO'ing a Troll Slayer. Then a lineman was BH. Things were going well in the backfield as two of the Gutter Runners hunted down the exposed ballcarrier, but the third Runner SI'd himself on a failed dodge. Another lino was niggled and a third killed before the ratmen finally knocked the ball free and scored. Then on the Dorfs second kick-off they blitzed the Scramblers' only Stormverim into the dugout and out of the next game as well. Coach Smyth could then do little but watch the stunties roll up the field and score.

But wait - due to the action having to be stopped so often to carry all the mangled ratmen off the pitch, the game was held up for injury time time! Ratzfink Gonzalez was on the LOS and took the ball after a bad kick. He raced towards the endzone, only needing to GFI once to get out of range of the Dorfs, who had all set up near the LOS. Needless to say, not only did he stack it, but he stunned himself as well, giving no hope of the pick up in the final moments of the half. Harsh, harsh days... xD

With only seven players left things were looking grim, but the Scramblers still picked up a quick score at the start of the second half. But when the Dorfs recieved they killed ANOTHER lino, then BH one more for good measure. Five vs. eleven with most of the half to play - coach Smyth was not liking those apples. And when the dauntless Ratzfink Gonzalez BH himself on yet another failed dodge, it seemed like the draw would be inevitable.

But with only three Skaven on the pitch, the Dorfs got cocky and started trying to hand off the ball to skill up their players. Big mistake! Nuffle took pity on the battered Slash'it boys and the Dorfs dropped the ball big time in the final turn. 2-1 to the Scramblers!

Remember sports fans - Nuffle might not favour the brave, but he sure looks after those coaches stoopid enough to take on the bearded ones!
