“SWL Season XXVIII - Gone's Slipper Conference League XXVIII - Round 1

The first half was brutal. For a while, things were looking pretty down for the girls - there wasn't all that much of a cage around the ball, and numbers were dwindling. Things changed in the last two or three turns though, with a spree of casualties evening up the numbers, and a bit of a gap in the defense which allowed us to score just on the buzzer.

Half time score: 1-0

Things didn't lighten up at all for the Bandits in the second half. We finally got Jacko off the pitch, and got some semblance of control over the ball after Kenny fell flat on his face just outside then end zone. Some traditional orc ball handling skills almost cost us the ball, but eventually, with some sneaky dodging, Throat Krusha was able to get the ball to Cage Busta who took it in for a touchdown.

Four casualties before we removed him from the pitch early in the second half. Mighty fine job indeed. He did 3 to us last time we played as well, so it's not like it's a one-off effort.

Always a threat - with blodge, tackle, and mb, this fellow was always a bit of a threat. Fortunately for us, he never quite managed to deal out any really nasty blows (Jacko did plenty of that), but he always had us worried.
