“Our dark elves have been matched vs Blackwidow's chaos. Their sole handicap is DOOM & GLOOM which is totally wasted as our only reroll comes from leader (and isn't affected). They have block on all their strong players, a DP and 2 claws - but no tackle at all which will suit our blodgers!

They start with the ball and a DP foul that badly hurts a lineelf. We counter by knocking over their DP and KILLING him with a DP gang foul in return! Eddy's boys choose not to call out the apo - is he reserved for Eddy the troll? (turns out later it was a misclick, ouch!)

They push forward with the ball but we're playing (and rolling) well and repeatedly get good 2d blitzes on their ball carrier. Eventually we are able to even pick up the ball (it's been surrounded by both teams for several turns) and run downfield, where we safely stall out the last two turns to score and make it 1-0 for half time.

We have 2 BH elves now and with heat exhaustion removing our leader vs a CW + beasty there's 9 elves versus 8 chaos. We receive and start bashing carefully as we've no rerolls available until the leader's on the pitch. We advance quite well using fouls to try and increase our player advantage, managing to seriously injure a CW while getting our DP sent off. Eddy then badly hurts our block/guard lineman so it's all evens. Good blitzes from the chaos players mean the ball goes back and forth though ultimately we're able to secure it and run it down to make it 2-0 for the win!
