The 1st half was a Mummywell disaster!
Both sides brought stars, Ramtut for Mummywell and Zara for Sartosa Pirates.

Winning the toss Mummywell elected to receive and things started well with the SF dwarf Gime Axemover feeling the boot in turn 1 and getting niggled again.
However the deep kick put Mummywell in problems as a cheeky blitz put Zara in the ball carriers TZ.
From there Mummywell were unable to cage properly and an appalling 2 turns of blocks which consisted of only pusbacks with the occasionaly pair of skulls put mummywell on the backfoot and a man down in the CAS war.

In fact the Mummwell drive did not even get out of its own half through the whole first half and did well to prevent the AG4 dwarves getting the ball away as the ball carrier went down twice.

0-0 half time with the only bright side being Zara off the field badly hurt in T6.

the second half could only get better... and it did.

Mummywell Bravely put 2 Mummys on the LOS not willing to give up the initial few turns blocking and risk losing man advantage putting brittle skeletons on the LOS against all that MB.

The LOS held up well despite going down and a multiblock later saw the two sides evenly squared up against each other.

Over the next few turns the dwarves jockeyed for position from left to right while keeping the ball fairly deep, but were met by a wall of undead whichever way they turned and retreated the ball deeper.

The powerful blocks of the Mummys and the occasional boot was taking its toll now as Mummywell worked a 3 man advantage.
The fans, who had been deathly quiet first half started up their favourite song of "ARE YUO STUNTY IN DISGUISE?!" and things were looking good as the dwarves retreated deeper and Mummywell started working a blitz threat on the carrier around the flanks.

The dwarves defended manfully and desperately sought to break 2 players forward to threaten a score while preventing the Blitz but one was taken off the pitch and the other marked.

Mummywell kept grinding, trying not to overcommit but still giving themselves a chance to recover the ball.

With very few options left, the dwarves blitzed their STR4 lino into space in hopes he could hold on to the ball. The carrier then came forward but missed his pass and the ball went loose!

Mummywell then promptly failed the pickup though..... and a draw looked inevitable as the dwarves put one tacklezone on the ball and marked up ramtut who was the only person in scoring range.

Considering their options carefully mummywell chose to blitz ramtut free of the TZ with a GFI blitz by a lone skeleton, niggling another dwarf in the process \o/
The AG3 SH skeleton then picked up in 1 tacklezone, successfully dodged out...... double GFI'd to ramtut, handed off to him without RR..... before ramtut earned his pay handsomely and double GFI'd to the line to score!

A second unlikely looking T16 score of the season to secure a victory as Mummywell continue to show championship form winning games that they would of drawn in previous seasons.

Some troublesome rats and some pesky elves now stand in Mummywells way (we dont count the orcs they are coached by a buffoon!)
And everyone knows standing in Mummywells way or even getting on the same pitch as them is dangerous for your health, so best just conede now guys ;)

A close gg Ebenezer, i wish you all the luck against Purps elves and especially those silly silly orcs!
