Game 72

This game went Schola's way, all the way. The kickoff saw the ball head out of bounds, and hence placed in the safe hands of Dominus Mortifer II for the first drive. A third turn blitz by Bellua saw the claw rip through the Mummy and hurting him badly enough that he couldn't regenerate out of the Badly Hurt box. This left a perfect hole for a gang foul on the partnering Mummy which saw him left in the KO box to recover. A possible chance to stop the drive went bad for the Lifeless when rookie ghoul drop bear knocked himself out trying to hit Quod. The very next turn another chance to stop the Chaos fell through when star blitzer Dayah Minyah tripped over his own feet.

The second half went even better for Schola, with the Chaos team putting together a Perfect Defence and a kick that settled right on the LoS, where two Chaos players were just waiting to gather it up. The undead rushed to mob the ball, but put too many players around it. Veteran beastman Carnero gently (OK, maybe not gently) nudged a few players to push the ball into the crowd. The crowd responded by throwing it directly to Dominus Nex in the middle of the pitch, who palmed it to the ground behind him to keep it safe. With the ball in the clear Mortifer dodged clear of his engagement and calmly collected the ball before easily running it up the pitch, stopping only briefly to help stomp on the returned mummy (who also got badly hurt, 2 BH mummies in one game, bad mojo), before handing the ball off to Nex, who passed it to Deus, who ran it over the line for the 2-0 scoreline.

The team did well to stay on the pitch... or realistically get out of the KO box to get back on the pitch. Schola was a team primed for victory and with a skilled coach they delivered.

Well played Quod. Seeya on the pitch next season with any luck. These lifeless undead are looking for revenge!

3- Pecus III - Only 3 fouls dished out but two of them took Mummies off the pitch Badly hurt not to return all game.
2- Dominus Mortifer II - A royal pain in the neck all game. If he held that ball no guy was going to get remotely close to knocking it out of his hands. He was even noble enough to miss the fame of a second td to skill up one of his peers instead.
1- Dominus Deus IV - Made sure he caught the scraps and scored the second td for Schola after earning the right to the ball and a skill with a nice cas earlier in the match.
