For a while it looked like it was headed for a 1-1 tie, with each team holding serve on their own drive. I got an early lead in personnel on my drive, and kept the ball to T8 and scored. End first half.

dadoz KOs my troll on his first turn, and starts a methodical press up the field, reversing course as I over commit to the side his drive started to. He proceeds to DP out both my clawed beastmen, and use the numbers advantage to seal off the edge as he advances his thrower with the ball.

Why didn't it end in a tie? Well, because chaos warriors cost more than black orcs for a reason. The ball carrier wasn't caged, but looked somewhat safe in the "I'm not playing elves" sense of the word, with a screen of orcs blocking my team off. But I was able to clear out a defender enough that one lone chaos warrior was able to dodge out (3+), cut a corner (3+) and double-gfi to put a 2db hit on the orc thrower carrying the ball. (A black orc would have fallen short of reaching, and likely would have tripped getting there). The thrower was able to dodge away and recover the ball again, but didn't have a lot of options to hide. The orcs were just as tied up as the chaos team were. So a lone goblin screened the ball carrier as he backed up against the sidelines (cue the 60's beach party music). Given the final score, you can tell how that went.

Good game with a couple really brutal dice sequences mixed in for dadoz. I'm happy to move on and get my 2 mng guys back from last game.”
