“Ah the poor pumpkins...
Very bravely the pumpkins took to the field. Great start for them as they drove down the sideline crushing any resistance from the skeletons as they went.With nothing else to do the Khemri team continued trying to get at the ball but to no avail.
2nd half start not much better after a blitz. The mummies were instructed to make way for the ball carrier which they did remarkably well, but alas noone else followed the directions on how to pick up the ball. This in turn gave the Pumpkins time to chase down the ball and (sometimes) ball carrier, and so the Khemri team found it hard to get out of their own half.
Gotta say some very lucky blocking from me. Khemri are renowned for doing damage, but only leaving 3 opposition players on the field was getting ridiculous. I have a new healthy respect for Bull centaurs now. Bloody hard to stop.

The game started in sweltering heat with the Pumpkins in possession. The first drive ended in turn 4 after a run along the sideline, scoring the - in the end winning - 1:0 td. The second part of half 1 was spent in the neutral zone, giving the mummies the opportunity to warm up on my chaos dwarfs while the ball carrier was under pressure by the rest of my team. Then the game crashed... which is at least partly a reason for Captainstupid not having scored until turn 8.
Second half was dominated by very nice mummy blocks, some brawling for the ball in front of the Khemri endzone and - in the end - to few time for Captainstupid to make his numbers count when - with 3 turns to go - there were not more than 5 Pumpkins left but no Khemri able to take care of the ball properly.
In the end a win for me and plenty of SPP and money for Captainstupid.
One last thing: luck level distorts the facts a little. Until the game crashed it worked quite well for me, so I´d say we were about equally /un)lucky. :).
