It started off well enough, when my opponent's rat ogre killed himself blocking my lino (apo worked) and I managed to steal the ball and score. However, soon my opponent killed one of my linos (apo worked) BH'ed a few others and scored back. I had a chance to take the lead at the end of the first half, but my opponent got perfect defence, which pretty much ruined my chance. It also meant death for one of my linos, who decided to kill himself by dodging away from the LOS.
At the start of the second half I was left with eight players, but I still had a reasonable chance of scoring, thanks to my wardancers. However, my opponent got another perfect defence, and things looked bleak again. I did manage to score with my wardancer in two turns, but my opponent SI'd one of my linos and BH'ed another with a both down result, when neither had block. My opponent commented that as long as I have my wardancers I can keep on scoring, to which I replied that it's quite unlikely if he keeps getting perfect defences.
It turned out that my wardancers didn't stay in the game very long, since during my next turn my other wardancer SI'ed himself doing a 3+ dodge with a reroll, after which my opponent promptly knocked out the second wardancer and scored. After this, I was left with the daunting task of trying to score with 4 linos, but as if things weren't hard before, the kick off result was -- you guessed it -- perfect defence. Needless to say, the rest of the game was a mere formality and my opponent scored the winning touchdown after a bit of stalling. ”
