#14 Squelk – Smashed Knee (NI)
#14 Squelk – Broken Ribs (MNG)
Amazing first half luck for the Trees who had caused 3 CAS (including my AG5 Gutter) and a KO in their first 3 turns. They outnumbered Clandestine harried them into scoring about half way into the opening period.

Clandestine managed to get a couple of KOs to even up the numbers a bit, but faced a Blitz! on their opening drive! The Trees pushed fowards, but their Catcher failed a dodge and SI-MNG himself. krispe used the apoth and paid the price when Clandestine killed a Lino with a block on the next turn.

Clandestine pushed the ball forwards, killing another Lino on the way. Trees attacked the ball, but couldn't get the Pow or Block/Pow without any rerolls and Clandestine scored the equaliser.

In the second half, Clandestine started in offence and kept the ball deep with their AG5 Gutter Runner, and with less agile players, were forced to make a TD play, passing to an AG3 Linerate who caught the ball and ran in a TD.

On the next drive, Trees started rough, causing another caaualty and a KO. Both sides played defensively and Clandestine decided to push the issue by fouling a downed Lineman.

This tempted Trees to gun for the lone Storm Vermin on the other wing to try and foul him, and the block dice came up with Skull/Pow + Skull twice and Trees suffered a turnover, with their player BHing himself to boot!

They were then very luck to survive a 2 dice blitz on their ball carrier that came up Pushes.

Trees tried to bunch up to protect hide their ball carrier, but Clandestine used a chain push to bring him out into the open. The Storm Vermin blitzed, needing a Skull or Skull Pow on two dice to knock him down (20/36 chance) but snaked the GFI!

Trees ran the ball downfield with a lone Catcher. With no RR left (on either side), the Clandestine GR dodged his tagger and blitzed the Catcher with 1 dice, coming up Skull/Pow to bring both down, but critically stunning the Catcher!

Clandestine got an early turnover on their next turn, allowing Clandestine to pick up the ball with their Gutter Runner and the Trees failed their GFI to blitz him away from the sideline (in case the ball went out of bounds) and Clandestine escaped witha win.
---------
Well a win looked very unlikely in the first half as my opponent steamrolled my team iwth his block dice, causing 3 early cas and a KO.

However, we came back with 2 RIPs and some KOs to even up the numbers a bit, and again after losing 2 players (BH and KO) on the last drive, we hit back again with 2 CAS to give us enough players to keep the contest alive and we escaped with the win in the end.
