“Challenge from: Opponent

It's easy to spot new players, or new-ish players. Blood is up, they wanna score max cas, ball? What ball? Added to that plenty of 1 dice blocks and the odd risky 2AG dodge, and it seemed clear what kind of game I'd be in for :)

And so it proved. My dice helped, but to be honest, I had quite a bit more Fan Factor so won just about every kickoff result, and all I did was block, nothing fancy. It was pretty easy to simply scoop up the ball and run it home, even had plenty of time to mess about with it to ensure a blitzer skilled up.

The foulfest started with the opponent, I returned it later on, then got the ref. Naturally, it would have been a shame to waste it so I got stuck in, My opponent duly returned the favour (hence the niggle on the Blitzer and the Badly Hurt BOB). Ref was a blind idiot who ignored the continued fouls from the other side even with eye on them, but no matter - victory had been sealed and Montys True pubstars scored a late 'consolation' in the last turn to make the scoreline a little more respectable.

What I'd consider an 'easy' win - Orcs are my favourite team to use, so it's the only time I get cheesed off if beaten with them. I think Pubstar will, eventually, turn into quite a decent player once the bloodlust is curbed. Seen it all before though with new guys, so till that happens (and the ball becomes the priority) I dare say he'll suffer a few more defeats :S I can't talk much about that anyway - I was the same when I was new on here, 6 years ago, so what the heck, have fun until you get fed up of losing - I did :) Shame about the crap cash for both teams, and the FF staying as is.
