The rats swept through the offensive line, and a gutterrunner (pub waiter) picked up the ball in a tz. Three attempts to knock him over later, I push him into the endzone to stop a stall or further round of pounding.

Second kickoff, failed gfi again. Inaccurate throw that bounced to my player.

Two more failed gfis to make it four from four. The last one mattered, as I fell over the TD line, preventing me from making it 1-1 at the end of the half.

Bad kick from my kickoff for second half. Ill-fitting pub shoes, no doubt. Fifth failed gfi in a row.

The rats broke through the defense in leftfield. I put a TZ on him (after rerolling a failed sixth from six gfis. Tried to blitz, but failed second needed GFI (seven from eight)

After such desultory luck I put it down to fate and overly aggressive tactics. Pulled back to 2-1 at the end, thankfully, to give it a prettier veneer.
