“Shatterhand Slayers seal another win, and what a win it was. The stealers certainly did themselves credit today but the Slayers were too strong in the end.

Slick Devlan didnt make the start of the game having picked up a niggling injruy.

The Slayers kicked off the game, and set off after the ball. A scrummage near the right hand flank of the Stealers, led to Shorty Stevens getting pushed out of play. Some of the enthusiastic orc fans set about minimising his contribution to the game. The stealers tightened the net in the middle of the field and the ball popped loose.

Vinak managed to lay hands on the ball and got a pass away to Sarfu for the orcs first TD of the match. The orc fans were well pleased at this stage of the game. The stealers made a bold play in the last part of the 2nd half but again Vinak managed to get his hands on the ball and the Slayers went in 1 0 at Half time.

The stealers kicked off to get the 2nd half underway. Vinak looked cool under pressure today as he gathered the ball and braught it forward. The Slayers frontline was looking strong today, the stealers front line crumbling under pressure. The Slayers cynically ran down the clock during the middle of the 2nd Half. The stealers thrower Dead eye Hill Managed to badly hurt Sarfu, which really upset the crowd.

Vinak made his 3rd completion of the match to setup Borgan for the orcs 2nd TD of the match. The stealers didnt make it easy for him to score 3 stealers descended on Borgan, set themselves and hit him together. The block looked superbly nasty and Borgan looked like needing every bit of help the Slayers apothecary could render. The referee shouted at the healer as he ran onto the pitch knowing full well the importance of assisting Borgan. With the apothecarys help Borgan finally blitzed through the opposition for his TD in the dying minutes of the game.

Barfu managed to add one to his casulty tally as the stealers drove late for a consolation TD. This slowed things down a little and the end of the game approached.

A few skirmishes ended with a 2 0 victory for the Slayers, today Vinak was surely their most valuable player!”
