In what promised to be a heated divisional rivalry match between the NY elfs and the My Hammy dwarfs, both teams showed up ready to play.
NY took advantage of the cointoss and swiftly raced down the pitch for a quick score within moments of their opening drive. NY 1-0 My Hammy
With most of the 1st half left the Dorf Grins began to mount their offense. With a couple of good hits the Dorfs felt that it was time to try to put some of the Gangrene out of action and tried to sneak in a late hit, but our ref was right on top of the action and asked Phoul Warfield to take a seat for the rest of the match. NY sped to the chance to surround the ball and attempt to pick it up for themselves, but the ball remained up for grabs surrounded by both teams. My Hammy quickly fixed their offensive woes and proceded to continually pound on the elfs that came within reach. At one point NY's J. Riggins came up with the ball but was promptly part of a series of pushes that led to A. Monk being pushed into the crowd, (doctors say he will recover with just a weeks rest) just before Riggins himself was also escorted into the crowd (he ran to the team bench while they beat up on Monk) Now with a significant numbers advantage the Dorfs finally put together several plays and scored as time ran out. NY 1-1 My Hammy at the half
NY having to kickoff was reduced to playing defense at a numbers disadvantage in the 2nd half. And with the Dorfs superior bashing advantage, the match quickly was reduce to a 11-3 pounding. The Dorfs waltzed in the ball just before the half came to a close with just 2 laying prone on the pitch.
A quick kick and a pair of skullz later the match was over.
NY 1-2 My Hammy
GG Hof, gl with the team. I'm sure you are glad to be done with your 3 dwarf teams in a row. See ya in divisionals.”
