First half we received the kick, and had big plans to spend the half smashing the norse into the ground, especially after M'grak G'thrak was knocked out with one of the first hits. This didn't seem to be happening for us, and we chose to make a break rather than stall. Only to see Aidan trip into the endzone and knock himself out. We recovered the ball though, and despite a failed attempt to hand-off to Ned for his development nearly costing us the td altogether, we finished the half 1-0 up.

In the second half, an aggressive defense saw the flesh golems repeatedly break their way into the cages, although the first few times it wasn't on a blitz action as I didn't want to risk the blitz on an unlikely (though otherwise safe thanks to sf) dodge. Eventually Steve decided to do it properly and smashed the ball out. This turned the second half into a loose, back and forth melee. In the end it came down to Dimitri Neilsson on the sideline, covered by both Steve and Mike. Marking with Mike was a crucial error, as it allowed him to replace the more difficult dodge with a much safer blitz on Mike, and sure enough the game once again finished with a score on the siren for a draw.

In other news, I'm seriously considering buying a zombie as more of mine are dying than are getting replaced by deaths on other teams. Using them to mark Ogres out of the useful action probably contributes to this (although who can forget Thraso turning it around by killing Pieces of Bones!).
