Ogreville Food Patrol drew the chaos team Chox in the first round. Circumstances were ok. One of the goblins (a dp) niggled out and the opponents got knuckledusters as handicap. Not great circumstances, but it could have been worse.

The start of the match looked grim though, when Lard Bellydragger was hit by a rock on kick-off and the OFP had to use the apothecary on the very first block, when Gretul got her collar bone smashed, followed by Trukk getting KO'd on the following foul.

Slowly the situation started to turn though. The opponent's ball carrier was forced back towards his own end zone line, trapped by a dive tackler, while the OFP dp and ogres went to work on the LOS troops. The impressive AG 5 beastman Alex was KO'd early, followed by the goblin smasher Hub who was BH'd by Yuk-Glugg da Rathunta.

Throughout the match Chox would have the crucial margins on their side though. -2d blocks, beastman dodges and other risky moves had a near 100 % success rate and the chaos team managed to run in a T8 TD through a dodge, a blitz and 2 GFI's by their ball carrier.

OFP used their last moments of the first half to foul out the troll, who stayed KO'd in the beginning of the 2nd half.

2nd half was mostly a struggle between the ogres trying to box in the Chox players, while they tried to break free to get to the goblins. Sneeko could run in a controlled T8 TD to take the game to OT. Unfortunately a kick-off re-roll for Chox made it 4-0 in re-rolls for the OT period and to make it even worse they started with the ball.

A blitz improved the OFP chances, but once again the crucial moves didn't go their way. Chox could run in a TD by T6 and during the following offense Sneeko BH'd himself on a simple dodge. So much for his AG 4, missing both dodges and pick-ups like he was some kind of nurgling...

It was a fun and exciting match though and stuelle2 is a friendly opponent, so I'm still pleased with it. Good luck in round 2!”
