“The first half couldn't have gone better. After an early scare from Klaus Kinkski (leap/horns/daunt GR) things ran like clockwork. Dice rolls were extremely biaised and through some design and some luck the 3 dangerous Gutter Runners all fell!
The game plan beforehand was not to stall due to the Vermin's OTT potential, in the hope of preventing an equaliser or getting a second. However the position was so optimal Boris elected to stall it out in the hope of dishing some more pain.
Apart from losing our kicker (also a dp) we were at full strength for the 2nd, so decided to play our most powerful line up in the hope of preventing or forcing the early score. The early score looked likely, then didn't happen. Like 2 great battleships the teams moved and parryed move after move. Linemen positional play was crucial. 2 turns to go the vermin made they're move, but Boris managed to get a 2 die hit on the ball carrier scoring a POW.
A hastily erected cage, just about held off the Vermin and a very tiring 1-0 victory!

3-#7 Angela Merkel Put a lot of pressure on especially towards the end. She consistantly worried the Stallion's cage.
2-#5 Klaus Kinski Started like a bolt left the field in turn 2 or 3, but could have easily changed the game for the Vermin. A difficult player to deal with.
1-#16 Herbert Hoover Sabine Schmitz worked hard, but came away with little to show. So Herbert gets the last point for hitting little but hitting hard.
“SWL Season 32: Manfred's Funeral Gala Conference League - Game 3
The third game of the season turned out to be our second loss, with the Stallions controlling a pretty dour affair. Safe Norse play combined with sloppy German efforts to amount to a 1-0 defeat. Ben Hilfenhaus typified the effort, managing to suffer two seperate niggling injuries.
Well played mouse.
