“This match was a lot of fun! Especially since Kalinowski is an awesome opponent.

In the first turn, I made a botched cage on his left flank. He couldn't go around it to get to my open side (not enough M) but he had enough guys to stop me. Or so he thought. I made myself a tiny opening towards my zone and slipped a few skinks through it. And so I made a new botched cage in the middle of his zone. And it came out much better than the last sentence would let you believe. He surrounded me, but once again I made a small opening and zipped through with the ball. 1-0 for me.

With him having the ball deep in his zone and failing a block early in the line, I somehow found myself in a position to 2D a black orc with a skink. I did it for the lulz. But I missed the only dodge I had to do, which helped him take the upper hand on the left side of the field. Again, for the show, I made 2 dodges, 2 GFIs and a 1D block with the same player just to make him drop the ball in his zone. And I failed to pick it up. Things looked bad for him, because after he picked up the ball, he found himself surrounded by 4 skinks! Fear! But he made an impressive 3 dodges (with an orc!!!) to get free. Fortunately for me next turn he missed his very last dodge and couldn't manage to reach the end zone in time before half-time.

In his half, we engaged in a tough battle in the center. He took some of his guys aside to form a cage on the left flank. Then for the first time in the game we started removing each other's players from the pitch to make some space. Kalinowski promessed to pay the dry cleaning for the dirty pitch. Again, early in his turn he missed a block. This let me KO his ball-carrier near the crowd and the ball appeared in the center, where I was starting to win this litle battle. He made a circle around it, and I surrounded him. But I still managed to get a skink through the open side and flee with the ball, 1 other skink protecting it. He did his best to catch up, but Dodge saved my skink from the pow/push and he dodged his way through. 2-0 for me with little time to play.

We bashed each other somewhat. He didn't have enough movement to reach the end zone but I did, so I sent a few skinks forward to snatch the ball. This fell apart quickly with my apo resurecting a dodge-failed skink. And he's not even stunned! This apo is my new hero : 1 second you're dead, 1 second you're getting up and ready to run. In the last turn I tried going for the crazy play of blitzing, dodging, picking up the ball, passing it, then running, but this madness was prevented by the rain. Rain : is there anything it cant do?
