#11 Fitsh Greenskin – Broken Ribs (MNG)
1st game of 145 Club's KO Cup 51.

I had a mostly-recovered criplled team, which is not retired for 1 reason only : Grit Stronglegs my 1-turner. On the other hand, I was facing a 10-elf team with a handful of SPs on just about every player.

I got the ball and immediately had to waste a RR on the failed catch. I kept the ball behind my lines for a turn. Seeing he was winning the fight, I decided to go forward, using my 2nd and last RR in the process. He got a pow on his blitz and the ball bounced nto his hands. Ouch. He went forward and my first 2 blitzes on the ball failed. With his agility he could easily move around to escape, and luckily I was succeeding most of my dodges to prevent him from being safe. 3rd blitz finally worked, deep in my zone. However, a GR caught the ball from the bounce and he had already moved, so it was no problem for smjack to get the ball back. I managed to once again get the ball on the ground, and the pick it up with my thrower. He once again got it back. In my last turn I got a push on him, and then got greedy and tried 1DB and failed it. Ths let the cance to push my players aside and finally scored a last turn TD.

I got lucky on KO rolls, my 3 players coming back and not his. 11vs9, he gets the ball, I'm trailing by 1. He protects the ball on 1 side and I fail a 1DB because I forget he has guard. For many turns, he made cages and went right and left to prevent me from getting the ball. In turn 5 I finally got a good chance at it, but facepalmed because I made my prone liner move instead of blitz (cant cancel this). My backup 1Dblitz failed. I was able to corner him before he went too far, but only got pushbacks twice. He ended up escaping and scoring.

Well I lost despite not failing a single of oh-so-many dodges, because my opponent played very well and I did the odd mistake here and there.
