Coach Lou Satan had this to say after the match...

"I'm pleased with the way my boys played out there today. We took quite a beating from those blood sucking...er...blood suckers and we still gave them a pretty good fight. We played down men most of the game and still managed a draw against one of the best teams in the league. I can't complain about that."

When asked about the health of Broose Smiff, Lou had this to say...

"Let's not talk about that right now. He's the biggest guy on the field and he's playing ball about as tough as a filthy little gobbo. He spent the game in the KO box whining about his neck still being sore from where he took that shot a couple weeks ago. You can't talk to him about it though. I've already lost two assistants this week that I sent in to give him the business about his lack luster play. I wish he'd treat our opponents like he treats our coaching staff."

The Suckers hosted the Platypi for the last game of the season with a playoff birth on the line.

Having lost the toss the Suckers set up their defense. A determined drive up the left side by the Humans resulted in an early score despite their Ogre being KO'd (for the rest of the game!). The Vampire team had ample time to equalize and despite the Humans popping the ball free and making a play for the bouncing ball the Suckers managed to scoop up the loose ball and secure the equalizer when the Count of Counting crossed the goalline despite failing an ofab roll. One! One touchdown, Ah ah ah!

The second half started with the Suckers receiving the ball. Even though the Platypi offered a determined defense, the Vampire team managed another score...but the defense forced it to be an early one.

On the subsequent kickoff the Humans made a play up the right side, and despite the Suckers best efforts, Andre Speed ran across an equalizing score on T6 of the 2nd half.

The remainder of the game was a bash-fest with neither team able to establish a winning drive. The game ended a 2-2 draw. Congrats to Coach_Burgnutz for pulling out an...unlikely draw.

But the Suckers advance to the playoffs and their third tackler is likely to figure large! Lets get it on Shadeknight!
