“All Hail Nurgle!

After last week's loss, the Rot were determined not to let a similar catastrophe happen again. The coach drilled them endlessly about being aware of surrounding tackle zones, and for the most part, it paid off. Things started looking grim in the first drive, however, as the dwarves made a pair of impressive hits in turn 3, sending two Rotters to the KO box. The dwarves overcommitted their defense though, and Leprosy was able to push through for the score. Despite being down a player for the next drive, the Rot held the dwarves out of the end zone for a halftime lead of 1-0.

Opening drive of the second half saw the shorties make a good push and score without too much trouble. More injuries piled up for the Rot, and started the final drive with only 7 players. With a mighty push up the middle, they were able to spring a player free with the ball who sprinted out ahead where the slow-footed dwarves couldn't catch him. The final play culminated with Festering Infection laying a brutal hit on the Dwarf Runner Tar-Karazok, killing him instantly, after which the Big Rot's teammate ran into the end zone to win the game.
