The game started with a bang. Ninjas had hired the mercenary known as the Mighty Zug. He soon proved brutal hammering dark elves left and right.

Ninjas tried a slow grind up the pitch and just failed to take the lead at the end of the first half. However they took a major player advantage into the second.

The second half saw the dark elves receive and their witch elf swiftly spotted one of the ninjas straying perilously close to the side lines. He struck quickly pushing the hapless human into the crowd.

However, the ninja Hayabusa simply dropped a smoke grenade and hurried off into the shadows. So effective a ninja is Hayabusa that the crowd do not even know who he is (19 games with 10 cas and 3 touchdowns and NO MVP).

Ninjas swiftly returned the surfing and got rid of 2 more elves -- one of which was torn asunder by the blood-thirsty crowd.

Completely against the run of plan and with only 4 elves on the pitch, Raiders and Corsairs still displayed great strength and amazing agility to steal the ball and make a long pass to score.

With 2 turns in the half and a vast player advantage the Ninjas were able to loosly run with the ball and even the game in the last turn.

Was a good game -- great chat.

#7 Samuel Nightrider – Dead (RIP)
First action of the game was Mighty Zug badly hurting a blodge sidestep lino and it all seemed to go further downill from there...

With 9 players left from turn 3 onwards the Raiders & Corsairs focused on minimal play and a solid defense. The opposing Ninjas couldn't break through and were forced to try some dodges in turn 8 of the first half to go for the touchdown. Failing that, the ball bounced to an interesting spot, which I had kinda hoped for - which was why I had put 1 lino within touchdown reach to try to steal the lead myself before halftime. Everything went fine until my ag5 blitzer badly hurted himself on a failed 2+ dodge after succesfully having picked up the ball out of a tackle zone - reroll was already gone after an earlier double skull...

Despite receiving in the second half, things got much worse very soon. Even though I managed to surf a carelessly positioned blitzer in turn 1 (-> reserves box), I got surfed twice in return (-> 1 rip and 1 bh). Well done, especially surfing the sidestepper was good play. Consequently I obviously lost the ball, but pushed him loose again next turn on a 1d blitz. Lacking the necessary manpower to protect the ball, the humans just picked it up again, but made a remarkable mistake allowing my St4 lino a 2d blitz on the carrier. After which my other ag5 blitzer thankfully took the ball and passed it to a lino waiting downfield for the score.

However, I decided to stall because I had no hopes of being able to defend against the equalizer. Stalling was possible because after the chaotic last 2 turns the Ninjas were completely out of position and had to completely reorganize themselves to even vaguely threaten my carrier. So I was able to easily stall during 2 turns with only 4 players left on the field before I had to make a difficult decision. Either stalling one last turn so that my opponent would have only one turn left for the equalizer, but at the same time risking losing the ball and even the game; or scoring in turn 15 and leaving my opponent an almost certain touchdown in his 2 remaining turns. I decided to take the latter choice and put all my hopes on my kicker who disappointed me a little bit. With 6 players left I didn't manage to get my defense together and 1-1 was the logical end score of this interesting match.

All in all a fun game despite luck being one-sided; I don't think I saw someone ending the game with 79% luck before. As a cherry on the pie I lost a fan factor and got a disappointing 30k...
