“Brook Miners were to once more face East Cowes Veterans, who had previously beaten them in a friendly when the Miners were mere rookies.

East Cowes started the game but the Dwarves fairly quickly started to remove players, including the Count who fell near the feet of the Miners DP. The Undead tried to break through, but the Dwarves did enough to hold the score at 0-0.

The second half say the Dwarves attack and break through the undead lines in sight of the end zone. However, a big play by the Undead saw a 4+ dodge, 1D Splat on the ball carrier, followed by a pickup and GFI away which the Dwarves were unable to recover from.

Also, the Miners hopes for going into the season with no MNG's was dealt a blow as Halte Keyfounder was carrier from the field with a Niggle, so the decision has been taken to bring another longbeard on board and hope the 3 Niggled players on the team play more games than they miss next season.
