Though only facing 10 Oranje players against 14, it was going to be tough, as the natural speed and agility of their strikers was well known.

Newcastle started with the ball, and spend a lot of time and RR's trying to down the +str SW so that Joey Barton could do what he does best. This took focus away from moving forward, and only by some lucky GFI'ing and passing could Newcastle run in for a 1-0 lead in turn 8.
OTS attempt failed due to double skulls.

Second half had just begun when a rock to the head of Gary Speed from an Oranje fan ended his life prematurely.
The rats mounted their attack and scored halfway in the second half.

With 2 RR left and still 11 players, everything was set for a Newcastle victory in their debut match. But no, shortly after the Newcastle players in a show of beautiful teamwork FINALLY had fouled the +str SW for a KO, the now poor positioning of the team meant that the rats could swamp the ball carrier, BH him and steal the ball. Oranje ahead 2-1 with 2 turns to go.

To make a long story short - the 4 gutters had no problems stopping the 2 turn score from Newcastle.
