Final game of the league against stand-in coach blocknroll (cheers!) after the expected Khemri team retired.

From the start things looked bad for the Ogres. Elves are not a great matchup for them and a T1 gangfoul took them down by one big guy, BH. Tragically it also lost me my DP - he really does love getting sent off! RadioStan in return managed to knock one of their own gobbos out...
Turn 2 saw me pass a whole bundle of dodge rolls to get through and clear behind the Ogres.... who promptly failed their first roll of the turn, leaving a gobbo prone. I dawdled towards the endzone, flattening gobbos to no effect, then got a nice freebie. After blitzing down my ST4 guy the head Ogre ran up put the boot in and promptly got sent off. Smooth!

After I scored things looked up briefly for the ogres. The Saint caught the ball straight from the kickoff and got a nice wee gobbo escort. However, his two remaining big friends were distracted trying to play splat-an-elf so couldn't help him and eventually he got taken down, though at the cost of the strongest elf jumping into the KO box. Much scrambling and one SI'd gobbo later and the half ended...

Second half and an early KO on Prince made for a rosy start. 4dice on the gobbo with the ball later and still standing, looked like my luck streak may have ended. Next turn though another 4 dice got him down, to another SI! 7 elves were now facing just 4 gobbos and 3 ogres. A failed pass later though and RadioStan had the ball back. I stole it next turn, they got it back and KO'd an elf. a TZ on the ball was all I could manage, surely it was going to be a draw. Bonehead finally decided to join the party and took two of the ogres out, along with their blitz for the turn. Forced into a dodge, the gobbo promptly failed. In return the elves were the annoying gits everyone expects of pointy-ears, dodging free, nicking the ball, lobbing it down to a waiting lino. T16 it became 2-0.

Silly game, but fun - would have been harder if blocknroll hadn't been busy ebaying :) he was somewhat distracted. That, and MB was rubbish for you! Looking forward to the rematch already :) can't get that lucky twice can I?
Cheers!
