“Both big players niggled, so I called Sirius into play and, as usual, played out the game without an apothecary. Murdock, laid back with his feet up, sipped on a beer by the sideline.
Another game with a ridiculous start - first turn the troll is killed, thankfully regenerating. A foul niggles the blitzer Regent. Second turn a block niggles a black orc. Face palm time, "Why do I play dwarves?"
From there it got better, my whining to Nuffle and taking advantage of some weak handling meant I prevented the dwarves scoring on their drive and started the 2nd half with 10 players.
My play was going well, very well, then I got a bit careless and accidentally made a 1d blitz with the ball carrier, rerolling to a skull. The maul formed around the ball by the line, and the dwarves were about to get a major surfing. All the troll had to do was push a player out the way to let a black orc get there and support... the troll rolls stupid... 3 turns in a row. Dwarf players escape from under his idiotic grasp, and there's enough strength to turn a very worrying 3 player surf into a 0 player surf and the ball in hand. Game lost, lost by the troll.”
