“FC IX, round 5

Was a cool game. Very good team against my poor orc skills. But we did our best. Wasn't enough apparently. :)

First half started with some KOs (Fox out, BoB with guard out and the second tackler out). So only my DP/tackler left. At that time my only chance was hitting good as well. And they did it! 3 KOs myself (one by my wizard) and Jock tried to foul Morg with the eye on him, so it was 8 vs 7. At that time I thought I might do this ... I put some pressure and all the DEs were caged at one side. But how can you cage an ag6 elf?! He got out after a 1d and me getting him down again didn't stop him. 1-0 for the elves and a TTM chance for the 1-1. But then it was Jock's time to show why his team is so awesome. Blitz! for him, ag6 catches it and 2-0. Played a bit risky that turn by trying to score, so I went for the ballcarrier. Maybe I should have gone for the receivers.
But now I had another shot for the TTM, my only chance to make the second half a bit interesting. The goblin just catched the kick and that was a good sign apparently: 1-2!

Fox still out for second half was bad, but with a bad kick I gave the ball to Morg. 2 elves out in the first turn, so I thought I might have a chance to get to OT. But then it happened: fireball on 4 guys, all 4 went down. M8 elf took the ball and ran away. Put some pressure so he would make the 3-1, because there was a small chance with 3 turns left (TTM and then 2 turns left for the 3-3). But at that time my guys didn't want anymore. The goblin crashed, the elves took the ball and 4-1. Don't think the score says it all, but it was a fun game. First half was very interesting. Second half it was over soon.
