“It was all going so well until halfway through the second half...

When I got the offer in chat to play up against some nasty dwarveses, I figured it would be a bashy, dull, foul-filled 2-1 grind. I was close... It was a 2-1 grind but Forrest_Gump was hardly a dull opponent. It was a good, clean, fun game. A painful one but a fun one nonetheless.

The first half I kicked off and the dwarves started a strong, slow drive. I eventually managed to turn the ball over and I was in position for a long bomb from my AG 5 Line Elf to go up 1-0. Sadly, that bloody pass-blocking longbeard managed to pick it off and handoff to a runner, with the half ending 1-0 dwarves. Stupid INT! :)

The second half I scored in 3. It was awful close. I managed to get the ball to my STR 4 line elf and get him _almost_ out of reach but the Slayer dodged away to blitz him and knock him down. I was fortunate to get up, blitz him off me and score. Then game the dwarf's drive, which was a long slow drive down to the goal line to run out the clock. That was where both RIPs came in (the first one was apothed on turn 1 of the second half, I believe) and several BHs and KOs. I ended the game with 3 players on the field.

Thanks again to Forrest who played a good tough game. The stalling might piss off some folks but I didn't mind too much. I still had fun trying to pick it apart. Great luck on both sides kept things close but the dwarves were just too much for me. ”
