#8 Harold Quickwing – Fractured Arm (MNG)
#11 Robert Darkhawk – Groin Strain (MNG)
Well sports fan this match had draw written all of it from the start. And for the majority of the game it looked like the coaches would be sharing the prize money.

The first half start off with the lizard team still asleep and without much to do the Googoomuck walked up the middle of the pitch to score. Some say if you score to early you pay the prize and Googoomuck certainly did and by the end of the half the score line was level.

The second half started pretty much the same way as the last half ended...all pushing and shoving. For a brief spell a saraus managed to hold on to the ball but with some excellent positioning and the help had from "How far can too far go" quickly ended any thoughts of lizard TD.

In the final turn Chaos were surrounded but had one player dangerously close to the lizards end zone. What seemed like sheer madness the choas coach calls for the 'do-or-die' play......needing several little guys to push some big lizards out of the way. The crowd can see what is happening....first one, then another and the slightest of openings - can he squeeze through - YES. Now in the open and just the pass, no wait it's fumbled, no it's ok and the ball sails through the air like a dove. This is one ball only going in one direction and safely into the hands and a quick jog for the winning TD!

They say you miss 100% of the shots you never take - well this team certainly managed to pull off a 1 in 100 play.

Well done to both coaches and the entrance fee was worth the last turn alone!

Great write-up. Indeed, the whole game came down to that last play. Surrounded by Guard and having none of its own, googoomuck was forced to make a sequence of 2-die-opponent favour hits, needed at the least a push on each. Three such hits later (one even resulting in a knock-down), a CW was able to Dodge out of the scrum (3+), then make a 4+ Pass, using up a reroll to do it. Catch on a 3, then one GFI to the end zone for the win. Definitely not a play that should have happened (If I did the math right, think the odds are something like <4%, or a little less than 1/25).

Somehow, for making that crazy Dodge and Pass, "How Far Can Too Far Go?" earned a Strength-up. So with 2 St 5 players, who needs a Minotaur now? Well ... probably still googoomuck, but we're short of cash right now, what with replacing dead players in the past, so maybe in a game or two.
