It was only a matter of time before the Sunken Horrors would attract the attention of one of the veterans of the scene. Famed as they are, and invulnerable to the unholy ritual of drowning, the Sunken Horrors were more than ready to face the shambling collection of bones.

What started with an innocent riot at the start of the match, quickly grew into a first half of frustration for the Angry Newscasters, who were unable to get any solid grip on the ball early on, and were therefore quickly under pressure by Sunken Horrors who were eager to pounce on the chance. Moreover, the endless attempt to injure and maim the Sunken Horrors by blocks and fouls worked only to a certain extent. While the Kraken's Spawn was taken out early, for example, he also recovered just fine for the second half. Unable to grab the ball, the Angry Newscasters had to settle for defending against the Sunken Horror pressure, who were awfully close to scoring... Yet failed to do so with many players in the KO box and the remaining ones contained.

The second half saw all the Sunken Horrors back in force however (partially thanks to the unholy seawater that was given to the Horrors by the Bloodweiser Babe), and rearing to set up a tried and tested grind involving Griff as the ball carrier. This seemed to be hard at the start, with the Angry Newscasters positioning for a Perfect Defence, but turned out to be a succesfull plan, also due to excellent hitting work by Defiled Memory. Griff remained untouched during his whole run, and SCORED the winning touchdown.
