“This was an interesting one. We were without our talisman Draknil so the Humongos came into our playing range. Straight off Dr Death was stunned by a rock from the crowd and then Magnus the Mangler blitzed Dwight Wight straight into the cas box, though he regenerated. The humans tried a bit of passing in the backfield and sorted themselves out in the 2nd turn. We managed to take out the mangler and the humans tried a risky long pass which resulted in a fumble. It took a few turns of tussling but we couldnt get hold of the ball. Second attempt we picked up but Moriati then failed his dodge away. A later failed block from a mummy left the ball exposed so the humans had chance to take the ball, stall a turn and score.
Next half the humans rearranged their setup at kickoff so it took us some time to get a hold of the blocking side of things. We advanced extremely slowly and a mummy double skulls spelled trouble. But with a both down on a non-blocker they couldn't capitalise. with a couple of following kos we got a chance for Dr death to move supported near the corner. Then we claimed the equaliser.”
