“XFL - Round 5 (Finals):
A huge crowd gathered and it was off to the races between the two high elf teams - a game that was extremely tight throughout. We fouled early and often - but to no avail early in the game. Our opening drive we plodded along, only removing a few elves - a 1d stripball blitz knocked the ball loose on T7, but we recovered and scored on T8 for the 1-0 lead...with only 6 elves (due to heat exhaustaion), our opponents still managed to get the one turn score (MA 9 Sprint catcher). Second half, our opponents went for the quick score - making the long pass again, they skipped in for the 2-1 lead. In addition, we suffered from heat exhaustion badly, but we got some good hits and our fouls started to take a toll...it was back and forth, but we managed to score on T16 to force OT.

In OT, we had a 10-5 edge in players (opponents had 1 out due to heat, 3 KO not wake up). We got perfect defense and let loose with our wizard after the catcher tried to run down the sidelines. We grabbed the ball to be badly hurt by opponent's wizard...down players, their last chance was the 3+ 3+ 2+ dodges, pickup and long pass to endzone...for the win....but no! Failing a dodge, we grabbed the ball and it was over as we sprinted down the length of the field for the win.
