Warpstone Open - Round 3:

We got good dice early to inflict some KO/CAS and have a 2 player advantage - and seemed to be in control...however, the orcs got nasty themselves and we were forced to score after turn 4 leaving plenty of time for the orcs. However a riot gave them only 3 turns...they sent one receiver downfield and Asher badly hurt him. Deep kick...too little time and bad block dice doomed the drive so it was 1-0 our favor for the second half.

In the second half, we had to decide on our strategy and went for the surf of an unskilled BOB on our turn 1 just to give us numbers for later in the drive. Asher surfed the black orc but we gave up position. Next turn, a blizer marked Asher...so with a bit of help, Asher surfed the blitzer to make it 2 player advantage. Now we shifted to the center and started to outnumber and outposition the remaining orcs. They were caught in a bind without being about to really push forward. Asher came through again - this time with a BH on the enemy troll. No where was safe for the orc ballcarrier and we took him down - with Asher then surfing another blitzer (3 surfs + a CAS in the second half plus the CAS at the end of the first half - he was the real star of the game)...nothing much left for the orcs to do...they had to try to dodge in desperate attempts to do something and DT tripped them up (for CAS) both of the last two turns and we scored at the very end to win it 2-0.

Thanks for the game!

#3 Hooo – Smashed Hip (-MA)
Only took one or two turns of dice to change it from even (wiz withstanding) to impossible. Didn't pay attention to jump-up, though there would have been no difference in the result which was already decided. All that remained was to break a bobs legs on DT - which was awesome enough to gain him the MVP. Troll Wrecked managed a Str roll while carrying said bob off the pitch.

Gl in the rest.
