“Kondor crossed the pitch and thanked Coach Ice for the great match. This on literally went down to the wire. Both sides had the chance to win this game, but tonight, Nuffle favored the Beards.

The match started with the Beards taking the kick off. The plan was simple. Bash a hole in as many of the shoddily armored humans and carry on the match with an advantage in the number of players. It did not work that way. The dwarfs really could not even put a dent in the magnificent norse armor. Instead, the norse took the ball away and nearly scored to end the first half.

The second half looked like it would be all in favor of the norse. For most of the half, that is exactly what it was. That all ended just before the norse squad planned to score for the win. The ball carrying Ulf missed a block and knocked himself out. Not only did he drop the ball, but it left his blitzer open for a routine block and he too was stunned. Last minute heroics saw the dwarf blitzer pick up the ball, and move down field where he actually passed the ball to his Slayer compatriot that pushed to his limit and made the game winning score.


The only other play of note was when Karl Marx became completely fed up with the situation and actually broke the armor of the rookie Karl late in the second half. The inconsequential block resulted in the death of the poor norse lineman.
