“The girls are back to full strength but start badly. They receive a deep kick, punch the line of scrimmage back but a decidedly rusty Devereux can't pick up the ball despite a total lack of pressure.

The Elves can't find a way through, however, and Devereux manages to gather the ball and the girls cage up centre stage. The cannon fodder is bashed around by the Elves, who then bash back and secure a KO.

The cage attempts to trundle through a small hole in the line but the Elves move to get a line on it. The girls punch a hole through the defense with a blitz from Ol' Betty (freshly back from injury).

The girls run down the field fully caged with little difficulty. Devereux makes the hand off to Zoro Doro and she secures her second career touch down.

Sophia “Ball Cuppa” stays unconscious (and will do for the whole game) from the last drive and Maria is stunned by a fan meaning that a quick blitz on rookie The Pouch is enough to remove the girls left flank and allow Elves to spill through. They collect the ball, make a pass and then a hand off and look to go for the quick touchdown.

The girls won't have it. Devereux tracks back and with assistance from New Stink puts the stonk on Dark Star and the ball smashes free. They gather up round the ball to try and prevent the pick-up.

There's a ruck. The Elves try desperately to gather the ball but as it scuttles around it falls to Str 4 Ol' Betty as the klaxon goes for half time.

The kick is short and bang in the middle of a raft of Elves. Again, they hit hard down the same flank and the agi 5 Dark Star hurtles towards the end zone looking for the pass.

The Golden Girls try to get back but they cant do enough to prevent the score. Really, the girls should have had two safeties against a slippery Elf team and their defensive line was too high.

The girls receive, collect the ball and begin working their way down the pitch to secure the winning touchdown. Maria gathers the ball (with difficulty).

The Elves set up good coverage; Devereux murders DeRivia and then the Dancers attempt to disrupt the cage. It rolls around at the half way line, getting stuck as the Elves cover very well.

Eventually they get into the cage and the girls have to make a break down the left side.

Maria attempts to make the hand off to Devereux who can't catch it and, luckily, it scuttles back to Maria. The Elves pressure well but Banging Tunes wrestles down the last man and Maria runs it home for the touchdown.”
