The 4th installment of a rivalry between these two teams and there was plenty of drama. Judge Dredd would be at the centre of it all.

With the Stinging Police receiving, Coach BoT and his team took control of the ball and play, Dredd with ball in hand. After another block yielded skulls, Dredd lined up a 3D hit - and hit triple skulls. The werewolf Twelve Kicks dashed clear, Wulang Staff used his pace and agility to scoop it up from beside a beastman, fling it to Twelve Kicks, and it looked like Pig Sty Alley were going to open the scoring.

Ratata may not be so agile but it is one mean minotaur. The nostrils flared and the beast shrugged off it's marker, smashing the wolf down and knocking it out. Hutch managed to retrieve despite Wulang Staff's attentions, and survived a scare - a 1D surf attempt was a skull - to hand off to Rafterman for the lead.

The one turn TD attempt by Pig Sty Alley failed, despite a helping hand from the crowd as a rock cleared a hole. However the blitz knocks down the opponent.

The 2nd half opened really badly for us. Wulang Staff failed a blitz on Hutch in an attempt to haul him down for the foul, and after rerolling it, failed the dodge to escape the tacklezone of Judge Dredd. An invite for a foul, as the super star wolf lay prone and nigh unprotected. Fortunately Bull failed to even stun the wolf, despite 4 assisting team mates, and I breathed a heavy sigh of relieve.

Dredd saw the ball, and decided 2 tacklezones wasn't going to stop him. He tripped, and Coach BoT decided to conserve his reroll.

Grinning, former-dwarf Aaron Fastorc hobbled over to Dredd, "This is how you foul!" Snap! His leg breaks clean in two. Cringing, Coach BoT flung on the apothecary. "I can fix it boss but he's going to have a niggling injury." Ouch.

We scored, 3 turns left to decide on a winner. Dang, all the KOs come back for the Stinging Police.

What's this? A beastman who can move 7 squares!? Nobody told Coach Chainsaw! Damn, 2-1, what an amateur mistake.

Oh well, we can still go for the one turn TD. Don't need to side step the wolf. "No, that's not how you do it, you imbecile!" One of many dissenting voices from the crowd as Coach Chainsaw messed it up; the wolf indeed needed to side step. A zombie dodge consumes the reroll, but it's still on. Side step? The wrong way. A 3+ pass becomes a 4+, the ghoul hits a 3.

D'oh. Good game BoT! The coach who made the least mistakes (1, that dodge with Dredd or perhaps not rerolling it, arguably 2 with the 3d with the ball carrier - avoid blitzes with the ball carrier) got the win, and deservedly so.

The rivalry intensifies after Dredd's injury. To be continued...
