“I feel this match went my way due to heavy luck. I inflicted some heavy early casualties fracturing the skull of his Claw/MB/PO/Block player and one other Claw/MB player. A couple of other hits left me up a few men in the first half and I was eventually able to take the ball away and score late in the first half. This despite the fact that he did an excellent job keeping me from getting a hit on the ball carrier.

In the second half, up a couple of men, I wanted to get a second score to put the game away quickly. I got very careless and left an open shot on my ball carrier. In this half my armor did not hold up and the pitch was at even strength at the end of the game. Fortunately for me,Coach Jean-Michel ran out of re-rolls and tripped in an attempt to put a hit on my ball carrier and I was able to put up the final score.

To me, this is the difficulty with the current rule set. It almost seems like the guy that draws first blood will have a huge advantage. As the game opened, I was certain that I would have an uphill battle. The early injuries made all the difference. ”
