Excellent report Striker - not much to add! We just got the better of the bash dice with a little help from mighty blow.
With a bribe in the pocket (hat tip Azure), the loner scored a casualty on the opening foul. Much to my surprise, next turn Striker blitzed the loner!
Oh, and it should have been 2-0 but for a stupid loner dodge late in the 2nd half. If I'd left the loner where he was, there was no route to the ball.”

Chose to kick and fought hard in the defense, but some well-applied boots (utilizing the Bribe) and early CAS left me with nothing but a dodge and 1d blitz-and-hope to stop the score, and the Artistes blocked their way out of the resulting scrum to go up 1-0. Proceeded to mess up the OTS setup, but a Perfect Defense made it irrelevant.
The Grimdarkers' drive got off to a decent start and we managed to KO the Delf runner, but they hit right back with Rafael knocking a Dodge Tackle blitzer out of the game. As we were down to 8 on the pitch I saw an opening and tried to go for an early score, but somewhat flustered by this point, I made an inferior play, and then botched it again when given a second chance due to a failed elf pickup.
Chainsaw got a bit cute after securing the ball and went for some risks he perhaps didn't need to take, and Nuffle responded by slapping him around a bit, letting me briefly back into the game, but the Wizard came through with a lightning bolt KO on my Witch. I had a very long shot to score on a t8 bomb, but it didn't go off and that was that.
A deserved result for Chainsaw and the Grimdarkers go home to work on developing the team some more, and probably cut themselves a bit.”
