#10 Terzieff – Dead (RIP)
the Inhumans go up against the Hungry Gobbo's a more experienced side with an array of weapons in their arsenal which means this game could be very costly if the Gobbo's can keep their focus. With the toss going their way the II look to make the most of this advantage somewhat daunted by the ugliness of the opposing front line they opt to run to flanks and avoid to much bloodshed however the early exchanges go the Gobbo's way with 2 players leaving the pitch early for the II. However as we reach the midway point we see the II bearing down on the end-zone with what looks like a great scoring opportunity and a few casualties of their own but failure to capitalise on Faethor's strength means that Bouncy stays on his feet enabling him to deliver an unavoidable trip to Faethor on his way to score, even his lucky Rabbit's foot can't save him from this one. The result is an awesome return the length of the pitch to deliver the ultimate turnover and the touchdown is deservedly Bouncy's, 1-0. Half time and fortunately for the II the 3 KO'd players are revived enough to stagger on to the pitch with the bloodwiser babes doing their part that and the fact that the last place a Thrall wants to be is near the vampire fans bleeding and unconscious. This numbers advantage of 11-9 could make all the difference. To this end the Gobbo's look to secure the match by hurling Squelch down the pitch, the throw is good but the team are not ready and before they can move he flies, the pressure gets to Squelch and he can't secure a good landing leaving the ball up for grabs in the II's end. The brothers take up the challenge running the ball line to try and avoid the hungry looking trolls blocking thier path unfortunately they fail to block the path of Burpax to the ball but this time Fess is strong enough to avoid the knockdown and runs down the pitch unloading to DeThantos for the equaliser, turnover score number two levels the game at 1-1. Unwilling to risk another throw, the Gobbo's once again go to their inform man Bouncy who with time running out secures a scoring position but a failed leap sends him crashing to the floor and with him the hopes of an opening day win for the Gobbo's. The game ends the draw leaving each coach to lick his wounds and rue unconverted chances. A fair result in the end but both coaches probably left feeling that a few mistakes probably cost them dear. When the two sides meet at the II's ground this might well prove to be one of the matches of the season as both sie look to prove how this one should have gone.
